Mission Statement
The JHDC Volunteer Council is the fundraising entity for the Jonesboro Human Development Center. The Center is a 24 hour residential facility for adults with Developmental Disabilites. The center emphasizes individualized services focusing on dignity, respect, training, and support for people who reside there. Our mission, as a supporting foundation, is to open up opportunities for people wishing to make donations to the facility. The council also sponsors several fundraisers each year to provide those who live at the center, funds to participate in activites they otherwise might not be able to participate in. Additionally, funds are raised to support projects at the center for the individuals including a Pecan Grove, a new medical complex, walking track, and training building have been obtained through the efforts of the Volunteer Council.
