1961-1970
In 1961 the Northeast Arkansas Association for Retarded Children (Cottage of Hope) was admitted as the 7th agency. Ronald Reagan was the speaker for United Way’s Kick-Off.
The Arthritis Foundation was admitted as an agency in 1963. USO became an agency in 1965. In 1968 Sue Cato was hired as the first Executive Director on a part-time basis. In 1969 the office moved to McAdams Trust Building and Abilities Unlimited became a member agency. Col. R.A. Treneman became Executive Director. |
