| SMOKED SALMON FOR THE HOLIDAYS Want something to enhance your holiday feast? Then try some smoked salmon, and also support your appetite to help the needy in our county. The Craighead County Community Foundation is taking orders now for its Sixth Annual Smoked Salmon Slam fundraiser. As before, we will be smoking entire halves (more than three pounds) of salmon and vacuum-sealing them for pickup from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, at the Flint Street entrance to St. Mark's Episcopal Church. The cost is $45 (payable to “CCCF”)***. If refrigerated in the sealed bag, the fish will keep for about six weeks; if frozen, it stays good for more than a year.
