VALUES

United Way offers an opportunity for donors to ‘unite’ under one umbrella in order to affect change and improve lives in the community.  In addition, the organization brings together volunteers, health and human service agencies, government officials and other leaders in the community to assess and respond to the immediate needs in Northeast Arkansas. United Way strives to be all inclusive.

SERVEDCOUNTIES

DIVERSITY

We recognize structural racism, ethnic discrimination and other forms of oppression have contributed to racial disparities that have existed in the past and still persist in the present. We acknowledge these inequities are often the result of policies and practices that work to marginalize entire populations of people. We unequivocally denounce racism, ethnic discrimination because it undermines the well-being and vitality of our communities. United Way of Northeast Arkansas through our United Way Network, seeks to dismantle disparities and strives to engage residents and community members, especially those whose voices have traditionally been marginalized, in the shared work of fortifying equity and empowerment. We work with public and private partners to co-create solutions to ensure everyone has the resources, support, opportunities and networks they need to thrive. We commit to leveraging all of our assets (e.g. convening, strategic investments, awareness building, advocacy) to create more equitable communities.

Volunteers:

United Way of Northeast Arkansas is made of mostly volunteers.  The Board of Directors, Committees, Day of Caring, etc are all volunteers. These volunteers help make key decisions about how our organization operates in the community.

Organizations:
