If you and/or your business have been affected by 2020 Jonesboro Tornado Disaster, you may be eligible for assistance from the Recovery & Rebuilding Fund. If you are filing for both home and business disaster assistance, you will need to complete 2 separate registrations for the losses.
(Please note: Funding will generally not exceed $5,000.00). All funds will be paid directly to service providers and/or attach receipts for services already completed, not reimbursed in some other way. Those providing construction must have a City Privilege License & contractors must have an Authorized Contractor Tag from the city.

Small Business Administration Loans
In order to be eligible for state disaster assistance funds, applicants must first apply for assistance through the Small Business Administration. The deadline to turn in applications for physical damage to properties is July 20, 2020. Representatives are available by phone at 916-735-1500 or by email at FOCWAssistance@sba.gov. People can also apply online at https://disasterloanassistance.sba.gov. Interest rates are about ½ what the market rate is.
State of Arkansas Individual Assistance Program
Individuals whose primary residence was destroyed will be able to apply for assistance beginning Thursday, May 28, 2020 continuing until Wednesday, June 10, 2020. In order to be eligible for state disaster funds, applicants must first apply for assistance through the Small Business Administration. Assistance may include home repairs, cleaning, household debris removal, personal property repair and primary transportation repair. Business, second homes, vacation homes, sheds and outbuildings are NOT eligible for disaster assistance funds.
Affected residents can apply by contacting the call center hotline weekdays 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. at 1-888-683-ADEM (2336). Applicants will need to provide the address of the damaged home, insurance information, social security number and detailed damage information. Residents will also be asked to provide a phone number and email address.
United Way of Northeast Arkansas and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Jonesboro have joined together to provide assistance to low-income residents who had damage to their home from the March 28 Jonesboro tornado.
